Dyson Ball™ vacuums continue to evolve with DC41 Animal: a powerful and maneuverable machine that automatically adjusts to any floor surface for the best performance at the cleaner head.  Where it matters most.

A team of 70 Dyson engineers have packed more technology in the ball while banishing fiddly pedals, awkward dials and cumbersome hose assemblies. Valves and ducting are housed within the ball – making for a sleeker machine capable of tighter turns around furniture and fixtures.
Increasingly, US homes are moving away from carpet, integrating multiple floor types – moving from Berber to bamboo.  DC41’s self-adjusting base plate automatically adapts to all floor types.  A protective seal helps remove dust from hard floors, while long bristles penetrate deep into carpet to remove ground-in dirt.  Shorter bristles sweep the carpet top to remove surface dust and pet hair.

And, with the most advanced Radial Root Cyclone™ technology, like all Dyson vacuums, DC41 Animal does not lose suction.

James Dyson says: “The bigger the gap between cleaner head and floor, the more suction power is wasted.  By engineering a base plate that adjusts automatically, air leaks are reduced, maximizing the machine’s performance.”

DC41 Animal is available beginning August 31, 2011 at www.dyson.com at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price of 9.99.

About Dyson:

Research, design and development is at the core of Dyson. One third of people at Dyson are engineers and scientists. Their expertise in fluid, mechanical, electrical, EMC, thermal, chemical, acoustic and software engineering allows them to design new technologies from the bladeless Dyson Air Multiplier™ fan to the Dyson Airblade™ hand dryer as well as challenge and improve existing ones. Dyson has over 1,900 patents and patent applications worldwide for over 300 different inventions (July 2011). Dyson’s RDD investment has quadrupled over the last 5 years with plans to double engineers to continue to invent new machines.
